ABOUT
Personal
I appreciate you wanting to learn more about me! I serve in the roles of minister, counselor and educator. I have survived two bouts of cancer. At the age of 13 I was diagnosed with bone cancer in my left arm. The doctors gave me about a 50% chance of survival. The amputation of the arm was necessary and was followed by two years of chemotherapy. Then, at the age of 39 (2004) I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Chemo, radiation, surgery, and more chemo followed. By grace alone, I am a cancer survivor! I am also a committed ethical vegan.
I am married to the former Gayle Sivess, a longtime resident of Dallas. Gayle
graduating from Bryan Adams High School, before moving to Denton and then to Ft. Worth. She has delivered dozens of etiquette seminars both locally and
regionally. She is currently a human resources professional.
Gayle earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of North Texas. She holds a bachelor's degree in public relations and communications and the master's degree in training and development.
Residence
Gayle and I live in the city of Ft. Worth, Texas. We have officiated and coordinated many wedding ceremonies in and around the area. Feel free to contact me through this website.

Educational Groups

Counseling/Religious Orientation
I am a solution oriented brief therapist. Solution oriented therapists can, many
times, obtain results in a shorter period of time than is necessary for many other therapy
modalities. Most often I can assist couples in four to eight sessions.
Although I am a minister and certified pastoral counselor, I do not introduce religion into sessions without the expressed consent of the person or
couple receiving assistance. I have many religious resources and a great deal of training and knowledge in religious counseling issues. However, you will have
the control of introducing, or not introducing, religion into our sessions. Spiritual Direction is recommended for individuals seeking religious companioning.
